Diving
Perhaps the most extreme experience is "Diving
With Sharks". In the location known as the Southwest
Side Shark Wall you can dive off a natural fence with
a rich abundance of coral and fish life, including the
all time feared sharks, some of which have been used
in several movies, such as Never Say Never Again, one
of the latest James bond adventures. If you like the
action, but prefer to play it safe, there are also various
shark-feeding locations, where your dive master can
take you.
There are so many different mineral formations in the
waters of Bahamas, it's genuinely hard to keep track
of them. Some red-flag examples are the abyss known
as the Tongue of The Ocean, the reef at Bimini Island,
The Lucayan National Park, home of the world's largest
system of underwater caves, including Ben's Cave, Mermaid's
Lair, Burial Mound Cave, and Owl's Hole.
Beware: underwater cave diving is not to be taken lightly.
These are very dramatic structures, with an intricate
net of stalactites and stalagmites, and should only
be explored by experience divers.
